1963 $2 Red Seal United States Note "Legal Tender"
A distinctive piece of American currency history! This is a Series 1963 $2 United States Note, famous for its red Treasury Seal and red serial numbers. This note marks a significant transition in U.S. money: it was the first $2 bill to feature the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the reverse and also the final $2 series issued with the Red Seal "Legal Tender" designation before the denomination was temporarily discontinued in 1966. It features the classic portrait of Thomas Jefferson on the front and Monticello on the back.

Series: 1963 (The last of the Red Seal $2s) Type: United States Note (Legal Tender) Nickname: "Red Seal Two" Signatures: Granahan / Dillon Serial Number: A 09927373 A Condition: Circulated. The note displays signs of circulation, including corner softness and likely a center fold, but retains good color and eye appeal.
